چکیده
Purpose This study aims to develop a hierarchical model that uncovers the relationships between challenges confronting Africa's organ transplant supply chain systems. Design/methodology/approach Eleven (variables) were identified after comprehensive review of existing literature. The contextual interactions among these variables analysed from perspectives health-care stakeholders in two sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) countries (Nigeria and Uganda), using Delphi-interpretive structural modelling-cross-impact matrix multiplication applied classification (MICMAC) techniques. Findings findings reveal weak regulatory frameworks, insufficient information systems lack necessary skills make it challenging for critical actors perform tasks effectively. interaction effects weaken chains less efficient, giving rise negative externalities such as black markets donated organs tourism/trafficking. Research limitations/implications paper establishes solid foundation topic could significantly impact human health life once government or non-profit ecosystem matures. MICMAC analysis this provides methodological approach future studies wishing further models. Practical implications valuable insights experts policymakers on where prioritise efforts designing interventions strengthen transplantation developing countries. Originality/value is one first empirically examine an SSA perspective, including theoretically grounded explanations data collected

Uncovering the Knowledge Flows in Supply Chain Relationships
The acquisition process of knowledge by organizations is not easy and its spread among individuals, organizations and networks is even more complex. The understanding of the mechanisms involved in the knowledge flow between organizations can help to minimize the problems associated with processes in supply chains. In this paper, we present a systematic search of literature, which aimed to ident...
متن کاملon translation of phatic communion and socio-cultural relationships between the characters of the novels
phatic communion is a cultural concept which differs across cultures. according to hofstede (2001), the u.s. tends to have individualistic culture; however, asian countries tend to have collectivistic cultures. these cultures view phatic communion differently. in individualistic cultures like u.s., phatic communion reflects speakers’ socio-cultural relationships in conversations. to see whether...
15 صفحه اولA Comprehensive Mathematical Model for Designing an Organ Transplant Supply Chain Network under Uncertainty
One of the most important issues in area of health and hygiene is location-allocation of organ harvesting centers and transplant centers according to coordination between supply and demand. In this paper, a mathematical model is presented for location-allocation of organ harvesting centers and transplant centers. The proposed model does not only minimize the present value of the total system co...
متن کاملMulti objective organ transplant supply chain with effective location and time consideration
Nowadays, working alone on a context is not sufficient and reaching good and worthy results demands cooperation of multi sciences. Healthcare supply chain is one of these sciences that bridges engineering and healthcare sciences. This paper proposes a new multi–objective model for organ transplant supply chain, which is one of consequential fields in Healthcare supply chain, by aiming at having...
متن کاملConnecting the Dots between PubMed Abstracts
BACKGROUND There are now a multitude of articles published in a diversity of journals providing information about genes, proteins, pathways, and diseases. Each article investigates subsets of a biological process, but to gain insight into the functioning of a system as a whole, we must integrate information from multiple publications. Particularly, unraveling relationships between extra-cellula...
